In Washington, D.C., experience and connections open doors of opportunity to challenging and meaningful careers in public policy and policy management. Whether beginning or mid-career professionals, students hone their skills, gain professional experience, and develop contacts in the nation’s capital throughout their tenure at the McCourt School.
The McCourt School offers a wide variety of resources including career advising appointments, internship and job announcements, workshops, email bulletins, alumni and student employment directories, information sessions, and career fairs. MSPP alumni play an active role in the career development of current students by providing insight into the policy field, sharing information about internships and jobs, and serving as key resources for the MSPP community.
The McCourt School also teams with career offices throughout Georgetown University, such as the School of Foreign Service Career Development Center and the Career Education Center, to maximize the resources available to students. In addition to connecting with MSPP alumni, students can tap into the University’s Alumni Career Network, a database of more than 18,000 University alumni who are willing to serve as informational and networking contacts for students and alumni.
